Open Enrollment feels like there’s often way too much going on. But! SDPEBA is here to make it a lot easier. One of the hardest things is just knowing what to do, and so! We have made a checklist that can help make getting everything done much easier. 

Make an Open Enrollment Plan!  

  • Review which benefits you have and which benefits we offer. 
  • Think about if you want to make any changes, removals, or additions. 
  • If applicable, share our Open Enrollment resources with your spouse/partner. 
  • Check the plan changes for the year in the Open Enrollment guide and see if there’s anything you want to change/add. 
  • Look up the plans you’re interested in in the Open Enrollment Guide/Website and see if they’re right for you. 
  • Schedule a call with us!* 

*Note: if you don’t plan to make any changes, you don’t need to contact us. You’re already all set! 

Resources to Check Out 

One of the ways Open Enrollment gets overwhelming is the amount of information that’s thrown at you. In order to deal with that, we have broken our resources down to three sections: the magazine, the website, and the newsletter.  

  • Open Enrollment Magazine - The magazines/benefit guide contain in-depth details about every benefit. 
  • This magazine will be on the SDPEBA County OE website on October 6th!

Our October/November Newsletters are full of great information and articles all designed to help you make choices surrounding Open Enrollment. Check your inbox on October and November 1st for these great resources. 

Important Dates to Remember 

  • SDPEBA Open Enrollment:  September 16th– November 15th  
  • County Open Enrollment: October 2nd – October 26th
  • Please pay attention to emails from your supervisor for information about benefit fairs/office visits pertaining to your jobsite.
