For the 2023 benefit year, SDPEBA’s Sharp Health Plan will be offered to ALL retirees regardless of membership in MEA or REA.
Both a Medicare and non-Medicare plan will be offered and retirees may apply any healthcare allotment (retirement Options A or B) towards the premium, and any additional cost or cost for dependents will be directly deducted from the retiree’s pension check. If you have your reimbursements coming from the Trust (retirement Option C) the whole premium will be deducted from your pension check. You would than submit to the Trust for your reimbursement.
